Hormone Replacement Therapy or HRT is a form of treatment used to counterattack the unpleasant and distressing effects of the menopause for women in their middle years.  HRT is named as such because it replaces the natural female hormones which decline in middle age causing some difficult and uncomfortable symptoms which can be very disruptive to normal everyday life.

HRT or Hormone Replacement Therapy is targeted at women who have reached the menopause sometimes also called, ‘the change’.  The menopause is a natural process and marks the end of a female’s reproductive processes resulting in the reduction and finally the loss of two key hormones, oestrogen and progesterone.

Evorel patches are known to be a Hormone Replacement Therapy as it used by women in reducing the symptoms that often transpire during menopause.

This means at this stage a woman can no longer become pregnant. It comes with its own set of symptoms which are inclusive of weight gain, hot flashes, insomnia, dry skin, urinary tract infections, anxiety, depression, reduced bone mass among others.
