Sorbaderm No Sting is a sterile skin barrier product from Aspen Medical Europe. It is supplied as a foam-tipped applicator pre-saturated with a sterile alcohol free film forming barrier solution. The foam tip holds the barrier solution and delivers it to the skin surface when pressed or wiped gently across the target area. The solution deposited by the applicator forms a thin, transparent, flexible film on the skin as the carrier evaporates. Sterile Alcohol Free Film Forming Solution

The foam applicator is pre loaded with a sterile alcohol free solution containing a film forming polymer. The carrier evaporates, leaving the film forming polymer as a thin, continuous transparent film on the skin. Foam Applicator Delivery

The foam tip on each applicator holds the barrier solution and releases it onto the skin as the applicator is applied with light pressure. It does not alter the appearance of the skin beneath, allows visual assessment of the skin condition through the film, and does not significantly reduce the adhesion of stoma appliances, wound dressings, or other adhesive medical products applied over it. This makes the foam applicator suited to stoma care skin preparation where an appliance will be attached immediately after the barrier film is applied.

Single Use Sterile Format

Each foam applicator is individually sealed in sterile packaging. Opening the seal and using the applicator constitutes a single application. The sterile format ensures that the barrier solution delivered to the skin has not been exposed to environmental contamination between manufacture and application. This is the principal advantage of the foam applicator format over tube or spray formats in clinical situations where sterility is a requirement of the skin care procedure.

Preparation

• Check the individual packaging seal is intact before opening.
• Cleanse the skin and allow it to dry or pat gently dry before applying the barrier.

Application

• Open the individual sterile packaging immediately before use.
• Apply the foam tip to the skin surface with light, even pressure.
• Wipe gently across the area requiring protection to deposit the barrier solution.
• Allow the film to dry before attaching any adhesive product or stoma appliance.

After Application

• Dispose of the used applicator immediately. Single use only.
• Do not place a used applicator back into the packaging.
• Attach the stoma appliance, adhesive dressing, or other adhesive product over the dried film.

Open each applicator immediately before use. Do not open applicators in advance and store them for later use. Once opened, the sterility of the applicator cannot be guaranteed. Use one applicator per application.

Sorbaderm No Sting 1ml: Pack of 5 Applicators

A pack of five individually sealed sterile foam applicators, each containing 1ml of barrier solution. The 1ml volume per applicator is suited to targeted skin preparation of a specific peristomal or periwound area. The pack of five provides five individual sterile applications from a single purchase, supporting repeated use across several dressing or appliance changes while maintaining single use sterile practice at each application.

Sorbaderm No Sting 3ml: Single Applicator

A single individually sealed sterile foam applicator containing 3ml of barrier solution. The larger 3ml volume provides more barrier solution per application, suited to larger skin areas, situations where a more generous application is needed, or where the 1ml applicator does not provide sufficient solution to cover the required area. Supplied as a single applicator per pack.

Both sizes use the same sterile alcohol free film forming barrier formulation. Size selection is based on the area to be treated and the volume of solution needed per application.
